PARIS, May 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
with the French Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) to hold specialized
training courses for senior Kuwaiti employees in the country's various
government bodies.
The MoU aims, for the next three years, at teaching the trainees on the
latest technological systems and the newest approaches to administration, said
Undersecretary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Mohammad Al-Rumi on the
fringes of a training course currently held by the institute for senior
Kuwaiti officials.
The current training course, Al-Rumi told KUNA on Wednesday, tackles the
best ways of delivering governmental procedures properly and quickly.
He stressed that CSC is very concerned with enhancing the performance of
its working staff through conducting such cooperation with specialized
institutes.
On his part, head of International Affairs department at the institute said
this MoU is only an extension of the deep relations between Kuwait and France.
There are 10 senior officials participating in the training course held in
France. They are from the Ministries of Defense, Public Works, Electricity
and water, Planning and Health and some CSC employees.
The Ecole Nationale d'Administration (National School of Administration) is
one of the most prestigious of French graduate schools. It educates high civil
servants of French local authorities. (end)
