1979 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sponsored a meeting held in Kuwait between the Yemeni leaders Ali Abdullah Saleh and Abdulfattah Ismail for supporting their country's unity.
