VIENNA, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- The price of OPEC basket of crudes climbed by USD 1.61 to USD 95.28 per barrel (pb) on Friday, from USD 92.67 pb the previous day, the OPEC Secretariat said on Monday.
The monthly average of OPEC basket price plunged in August to USD 101.90 pb from USD 108.55 pb the previous month, according to OPEC's daily bulletin.
While the overall annual average in 2021 was USD 69.89 pb, it added.
On August 3, the OPEC+ energy ministers agreed to boost the oil output by 100,000 bpd by September in addition to the 648,000 bpd increase decided last month.
The latest decision came at the end of the 31st ministerial meeting of the 13 members and 10 partners of OPEC.
The OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) is made up of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Girassol (Angola), Djeno (Congo), Zafiro (Equatorial Guinea), Rabi Light (Gabon), Iran Heavy (Islamic Republic of Iran), Basrah Medium (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
