NEW YORK, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- The Palestinian community in the US honored Mansour Al-Otaibi, Kuwait permanent representative to the UN, for defending the Palestinian just cause at the World body.
The Palestinian community held a ceremony in New Jersey to honor Al-Otaibi.
He said he was honored to be at this ceremony, and affirmed that defending the Palestinian just cause at the UN in general and Security Council in particular "is an obligation upon every Arab and Muslim diplomat."
The Palestinian cause, he added, "is the root cause of Arabs and Muslims."
Kuwait Mission to the UN is dedicated to supporting the Arab issues at the UN, said Al-Otaibi, and the Palestinian cause was Kuwait's top priority during its 2018-19 UNSC membership.
Kuwait, said Al-Otaibi, would always support the Palestinian people until they regain their legitimate rights, and a just and lasting solution was reached that would see them create their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. (end)
