His Highness Amir's patronage of 21th Kuwait's Quran Memorization, Recitation Grand Competition extolled

KUWAIT, Feb 15 (KUNA) -- Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Fahad Al-Afasi on Thursday expressed thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for patronizing the 21th Kuwait's Quran Memorization and Recitation Grand Competition.
Speaking at a press conference held to announce the names of the winners of the competition, Minister Al-Afasi said His Highness the Amir's patronage of this competition stresses his keenness on raising the sons of Kuwait on the true teachings of Islam.
This year's competition brought together variety of citizens of different ages in competitive atmosphere of competitive competition, he said.
The competition revealed a new generation of readers and memorizers who hope to represent Kuwait in international competitions, as happened in previous years, Al-Afasi added.
Minister Al-Aafasi congratulated the winners of the competition, and thanked their patents for their good care.
He also praised the organizers of the competition in the General Secretariat of Awqaf and all the institutions and associations that participated in the competition.
The total winners were 225 male and female from different classes and categories, 72 men and boys, 65 women and girls, 51 special needs, 8 from reformers institutions, 12 from British and Ireland committees, and 17 seniors. (end).
