RAMALLAH, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Dozens of Palestinians were injured on Friday by the Israeli occupation forces, while protesting in the West Bank and Gaza strip.
A statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that seven people were injured with live ammunition have arrived to the Palestinian Medical Complex (PMC) in Ramallah, and one got shot with a rubber bullet in Nablus, and another was injured by a gas bomb in Qalqilya.
The statement added that over 20 other Palestinians were injured in Al-Esaweya town in central Jerusalem after the occupation forces raided a march, which took-off after noon prayers denouncing US decision to transfer its embassy to Jerusalem, and naming it Israel's capital, using rubber bullets and teargas.
Moreover, clashes in Beta Town in South of Nablus City, which was declared a closed military zone, in addition to many other areas in the West Bank, the statement said.
Meanwhile, Ashraf Al-Qudra, a spokesperson for the Palestinian health ministry in Gaza, said that over 15 Palestinian were injured during clashes in different parts of the strip, stating that two of them were considered in critical condition.
He said that eight were carried in by the medical team from east of Jabalia north of the strip, another five came from the strip's eastern boarders, and another two were transferred from Khan Yunis. (end)
