KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Library hosted an event Sunday about late poet Fahad Burusli, part of Al-Qurain Cultural Festival.
Bader Burusli, a poet and a relative of the late Fahad Burusli, said he learned from the deceased as a "relative, a human being and a Kuwaiti national who had genuinely loved his country, his dialect, culture and tradition." Fahad Burusli, he added, "loved and stuck to his dialect ... The decease was like a daily newspaper for the people around him. He transformed then problems of water, electricity, supply of rations and women education into poems." The late burusli was a strong supporter to science and knowledge," he said.
Dr. Nouriya Al-Roumi, Arabic Literature criticism professor at Kuwait University, spoke about the poems of late Burusli from a critical point of view.
Novelist Hamad Al-Hamad, who wrote a book about Burusli, said the late poet was a poet by nature and since he was seven years old. (end) hjb.bs
