KUWAIT, Jan 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti National Security Apparatus (NSA) Chairman Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on Tuesday met with NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Police Alejandro Alvargonzalez.
Several issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting, the NSA said in a press release.
The NATO official appreciated the role of the Kuwait-based Regional Center of NATO and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) in ensuring the successful fourth meeting of the ICI advisory group, it added.
Sheikh Thamer Ali then received UK military advisor for Middle East Gen. John Lorimer on bilateral cooperation and key regional and international issues, it noted.
Finally, the NSA chief met with outgoing Australian Ambassador to Kuwait Warren Hauk, hailing his efforts to promote bilateral friendly and cooperative ties. (end) ays.abd.mt
