Turkish army send further reinforcements to borders with Syria

ANKARA, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- The Turkish army sent further reinforcements to the southern borders with Syria, aimed at cracking down on Syrian Kurdish forces on the Syrian territories, Anadolu news agency reported.
It said military units arrived in the southeastern city of Sanliurfa ahead of their deployment on the borders.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced expansion of the Ephurates Shield operation to include Afrin in northern Syria. Afrin is controlled by the Syrian Kurdish democratic union party and the popular protection units. (end) rs.bs
