Moderate quake jolts W. Iran

TEHRAN, Jan 12 (KUNA) -- A 4.4-magnitude quake rocked Sumar District, Qasr-e Shirin County, Kermanshah Province, west Iran, near the borders with Iraq, on Friday evening.
The tremor, an apparent aftershock of yesterday's quake that injured 13 people, occurred at 9:20 p.m. (local time).
The epicenter of the quake was registered at 45.67 degrees longitude and 33.63 degrees latitude at the depth of nine kilometers, IRNA reported, citing a statement by the Seismological Center affiliated to the Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University.
Kermanshah province has been hit by several earthquakes since November 12, 2017 when a 7.3 magnitude earthquake hit the province's Ezgeleh region killing at least 620 people and injuring over 12,000 others.
