KUWAIT, Jan 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Information Mohammed Al-Jabri said on Tuesday that the Kuwaiti-Moroccan relations are distinctive and historical in various fields, especially in the media field.
 This came during a meeting with the Director General of the Arab Maghreb News Agency (MAP), Khalil Hachimi Idrissi, who is currently visiting Kuwait in the presence of Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and President of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah.
Al-Jabri pointed to the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, their leaderships, governments and peoples, which are always in their common interest.
 He recalled Morocco's principled stand in favor of the Kuwaiti right during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, noting the role of the Moroccan government during that period in supporting the Kuwaiti legitimacy.
 He expressed readiness of the Ministry of Information represented by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) to cooperate in various media fields with the Arab Maghreb News Agency (MAP) and to consolidate that cooperation through exchanging visits and expertise and benefiting from the training fields available in the two agencies.
 At the end of the meeting, Al-Jabri presented a commemorative shield to Idrissi in recognition of his role in supporting and developing media relations between Kuwait and Morocco.(end).
