GCC chief, Pres. Hadi discuss Yemen crisis

RIYADH, Dec 19 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Adullatif Al-Zayani met the Yemeni Preside Abd-Rabbuh Mansur Hadi on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments of the situation in Yemen.
The discussion dealt with the political, security and humanitarian aspects of the Yemeni crisis, according to a statement by the GCC Secretariat.
President Hadi appreciated the firm support provided by the GCC member states and the Saudi-led coalition to Yemen in the face of the Iranian interferences in the domestic affairs of Yemen and other countries in the region.
Dr. Al-Zayani reaffirmed the solidarity of the GCC states with the Yemen President and his government in their efforts to restore legitimacy and stop the bloodshed in the country.
The meeting gathered Yemen's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdulmalek Al-Mekhlafi and the President's chief of staff Dr. Abdullah Al-Olaimi, as well as the GCC Special Envoy to Yemen Medkhel Al-Hazli and Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Owaisheq.
