Turkey sends new military reinforcements to borders with Syria

ISTANBUL, Dec 18 (KUNA) -- The Turkish army has dispatched new reinforcements to the southern Hatey province bordering the war-ravaged Syria.
A long convoy of military vehicles, equipment and forces coming from various military units across the country has arrived in the border areas of Hatey, a military source told the Anadolu News Agency Monday.
The source noted that the new forces would join the deployed military units in the area.
Turkey has been intensifying its military presence on the borders with Syria to counter any cross border threats especially from militants of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party. (end) ta.ibi
