Over 50 killed, injured in car bomb in Dier Az-Zour - Sana

AMMAN, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- More than 50 people were killed and injured when a booby-trapped car exploded north of Deir Az-Zour, east of Syria, on Friday evening, the official news agency (Sana) reported.
It added that so-called Islamic State (IS) detonated the car near a gathering of displaced families outside Deir Az-Zour, killing at least 20 people and injuring 30 others, including women and children.
IS also bombed a car on November 4 in the same area that killed and injured scores of civilians.
Earlier today, three Syrian civilians were killed by a rocket shell attack targeting a local market in Damascus city.
The rocket was fired by armed groups from Eastern Ghouta, and struck Al-Hal grocery market in Al-Zablatani area in Damascus city, a police source stated.
Meanwhile, seven other people were wounded in the attack, including some in critical condition, the source added. (end) tk.bs
