Kuwait gives special attention to young Kuwaiti industrialists - Al-Sabeeh

KUWAIT, Nov 11 (KUNA) -- The government supports and gives special attention to industrial projects by young Kuwaiti industrialists, Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh said Saturday.
This factory is a "great achievement," as it attained three goals at once, said Al-Sabeeh in remarks at the inauguration ceremony of 'Umniya' recycling factory; an environment-friendly project at Jahra Industrial Area by Farah Shaaban, Sana Al-Ghimlas and Saud Al-Fawzan.
Firstly, this project is within the state's plan to support the industrial sector. Secondly, the National Fund for SMEs Development financed it. Thirdly, this factory is environment-friendly; a recurrent theme in many of the state's policies, noted Al-Subeeh, who is also Minister of Social Affairs and Labor.
The factory works on recycling Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) products.
On his part, Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan noted that the future belongs to practicing private business, urging Kuwaiti youth to pursue establishing their own projects.
Meanwhile, Tareq Sultan, vice chairman and CEO of the renowned Kuwait-based logistics' giant 'Agility' said the company supports SMEs (small and medium enterprises) through providing needed land spaces and experience.
He told reporters after the inauguration that the company was working to provide the local industrial sector with high-tech abilities, as well as collaborating with the government in a bid to further improve the business environment in Kuwait. (end) fnk.hb
