Cinescape earns USD 29 million

KUWAIT, Nov 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Cinema Company (Cinescape) earned, in first nine months of 2017, up to KD 8.9 million (USD 29.10 million), the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
These earnings were in contrast to the profits posted in same period of 2016, reaching KD 7.4 million (USD 24.19 million).
Earnings per share during this period amounted to 94.78 fils compared with 79.50 fils in 2016, with an increase of 19 percent.
Kuwait Cinema was founded in 1954 and was listed on Boursa Kuwait (formerly named Kuwait Stock Exchange) in 1984 with a capital of 10.10 million dinars (about USD 33 millions).
The company's runs various cinematic operations and affiliated educational, entertainment and intellectual activities in Kuwait and abroad. It uses available financial surpluses through investing in financial and real estate portfolios.(end) mka.aas.nhq
