UN Secretary General strongly condemns terrorist attacks in Afghanistan

NEW YORK, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterress has strongly condemned the attacks that took place lately in Kabul and Gur province in Afghanistan during Friday prayer.
Guterres added in media remarks last night that scores of civilian Afghans who were acting their daily activities and performing religious rituals were killed.
Guterres expressed hope that perpetrators of these attacks would be handed to justice urgently.
He stressed the importance of ending violence and starting dialogue, expressing his support to the Afghani people and government.
Two separate attacks targeting two mosques in Afghanistan killed 60 people last Friday.(end) asf.lb
