Arab Strategy Forum kicks off geopolitical, economic outlook program

DUBAI, Oct 16 (KUNA) -- The Arab Strategy Forum launched Monday the first session of the executive training program (the geopolitical and economic outlook for Arab media), which aims to train 26 Arab journalists on the skills of geopolitical and economic prospecting.
 The program will be the first of its kind in the region as part of a series of courses offered by the Arab Strategic Forum, said Suha Al-Alaily, Director of the Arab Strategy Forum.
The program will monitor the most important events in 2017 and 2018, with an analytical vision of regional and international geopolitical events, she added.
 She added that the first course of the program aims to develop the skills of a number of media and opinion writers in the Arab region selected from some Arab newspapers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait, saying that this event will be held annually in cooperation with some Arab media institutions.
 She explained that the program targets media professionals specializing in politics and economics, where they will be trained to develop an analytical vision on the most important regional and international events that will contribute to building Arab media prospect for the near future and to develop more accurate and impartial media coverage.
The Arab Strategic Forum supports new thinking and research to build and strengthen the future generation of media professionals from across the Arab world as they prepare to face future challenges that require more professional journalism efforts, she said.(end).
