Rouhani urges to resolve int'l disputes via dialogue

TEHRAN, Oct 14 (KUNA) -- Iran's President Hassan Rouhani stressed Saturday the importance of resolving international disputes through dialogue, official media reported.
Any violation to the nuclear agreement would endanger regional and international security and stability, Rouhani stated, according to Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Rouhani made his remarks while receiving the credentials of the newly-appointed Switzerland Ambassador to Tehran Markus Leiter.
He urged parties to reinforce negotiations bases, noting that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) has so far created more calmness in the region and the world.
The Iranian President also reiterated keenness to continue cooperation with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iran's nuclear activities are peaceful and we will not be the first to breach JCPOA as long as other parties are committed to the deal, affirmed Rouhani.
Meanwhile, Rouhani hailed his country's friendly ties with Switzerland, expressing interest in enhancing economic, scientific, cultural, and banking ties between two nations.
For his part, Leiter said his country will support JCPOA and expects all parties to stay committed to the deal.
He also stressed the importance to maintaining relations with Tehran and drawing a roadmap to reinforce bilateral ties between two countries. (end) mw.ma
