Egypt expresses concerns over Kurdistan referendum vote

CAIRO, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- The Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed Tuesday Cairo's concerns over the independence referendum in Kurdistan, calling on all parties to avoid unilateral decisions.
The ministry confirmed in a statement, the importance of reaching a settlement for pending issues between the Iraqis and Kurds and stressed the necessity of avoiding any situations which might lead to chaos. Meanwhile, Egypt said that the Kurdistan's separation from Iraq might affect efforts against the so-called Islamic State (IS). It reiterated calls for dialogue, saying that things could be solved in a peaceful manner.
