Kurdish TV service to Turkey off the air

ANKARA, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Turkey decided on Monday to turn off transmission of the Kurdish television Rudaw in retaliation for the Iraqi Kurdistan's referendum.
Hurriyet Daily News said on its website that the decision was taken by the supreme radio and television council, at an extraordinary session held in the capital Ankara.
Turkey has pledged retaliatory measures for the Iraqi Kurds' insistence on holding the public vote for separation from Baghdad. (end) ts.rk
