Turkish court lifts travel ban on Kuwaiti as trial resumes

ANKARA, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- A Turkish court has allowed Abdallah Al-Shatti, a Kuwaiti citizen, to depart the country while court proceedings take their course, according to the Kuwaiti embassy in Ankara on Friday.
Al-Shatti, who was released by Turkish authorities last week, was allowed to return home at the first session of his trial, and a travel ban imposed upon him has been lifted.
In a statement, the embassy expressed gratitude for the Turkish government's commitment to the case and to the affairs and concerns of Kuwaiti citizens in general as well as bilateral relations on the state level.
Meanwhile, the embassy warned Kuwaitis travelling to Turkey to abide by the country's laws and regulations.
In the case of an emergency, the embassy urged citizens to contact its hotline (+90) 533-164-84-79. (end) rs.sd
