EP suggests supervisory body on arms exports control

BRUSSELS, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- The European Parliament (EP) adopted Wednesday a resolution stating that the EU's arms export control should be upgraded through a supervisory body, while imposing sanctions on EU member states that do not comply with minimum requirements. It also critcized EU member states for violating EU's common position on arms exports .
The resolution also aims to broaden arms export criteria obliging EU member states to assess the risk of corruption caused by an arms transer.
