Spanish PM announces 3-day mourning over Barcelona attack

MADRID, Aug 17 (KUNA) -- Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy announced late Thursday night three days of national mourning in the wake of the van attack in the northeastern city of Barcelona.
He made the announcement at a press conference after an emergency cabinet meeting on the incident.
On behalf of his government, Rajoy voiced condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured quick recovery.
He reaffirmed resolve to rout terrorism and bring the culprits of the attack to justice. The attack killed 13 people, including five children, and wounded at least 50 others in Las Ramblas tourist area in Barcelona. (pickup previous) hnd.gb
