PKK attack kills two workers in SE Turkey

ANKARA, Aug 14 (KUNA) -- Two workers were killed on Monday in a Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attack in southeastern Turkey, local authorities said.
A civilian vehicle carrying construction workers was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Semdinli district, according a statement issued by the Hakkari governor's office.
The outlawed PKK resumed its armed campaign against Turkish forces in July 2015 following three years of suspension.
Over 1,200 people, including security personnel and civilians, have lost their lives ever since. (end) rs.mt
