IRBIL, Aug 10 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has launched an aid campaign to provide displaced Iraqis with new clothing as the holy Eid Al-Adha festival fast approaches.
Speaking to KUNA on Thursday, Kuwait's Consul General in Irbil said that the aid given to displaced Iraqis in the autonomous region of Kurdistan was all-inclusive.
He added that the Kuwaiti aid delivered to Iraq runs the gamut from healthcare and food aid to educational assistance.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Al-Enezi, a KRCS official in charge of disasters and emergencies, told KUNA that 500 coupons were handed to displaced Iraqis nationwide.
Mousa Ahmad, the Chairman of Iraq's Al-Barazani charity, described the Kuwaiti aid as prompt and adequate, saying it was just in time for a joyous occasion such as Eid.
Copious amounts of Kuwaiti aid continues to flow into the war-torn nation, granting needy Iraqis access to necessities such as food and healthcare. (end) sbr.nam
