EU's Mogherini in Kuwait

KUWAIT, July 23 (KUNA) -- European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini will visit the country later on Sunday to express EU support of mediation efforts assumed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to find solution to the Gulf crisis.
She is scheduled to meet with senior government officials in this regard.
"Kuwait is the mediator that we support and accompany and with whom we are constantly in touch," she told a press conference last week.
Kuwait's mediation efforts emerged as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt had cut their ties with Qatar. (end) hb
