ROME, July 21 (KUNA) -- The current crisis would only be resolved within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubair said Friday.
This came in a joint press conference with the Italian counterpart Angelino Alfano after their meeting, in which they discussed bilateral relations, in addition to recent regional developments, mainly the Gulf crises.
Responding to a question by KUNA, Al-Jubair said that Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have tabled principles to see them applied, where everyone have agreed on.
Al-Jubair noted that Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Manama and Cairo are hoping that Doha would accept and commit to these principals.
The Saudi top diplomat arrived here from Brussels, where he met with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders, the EU anti-terrorism coordinator Gilles de Kerchove, and Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs in the European External Action Service, Jean-Christophe Belliard.
Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt accuse Qatar of backing terrorist groups, expressing at the same time distress over Doha's "negative" response to demands they had put forth as a condition for lifting economic and travel sanctions on the Gulf country.
