KUWAIT, July 19 (KUNA) -- The Minister of Public Works Abdulrahman Al-Mutawa on Wednesday signed a contract worth KD 49.681 million (USD 162.45 million) for building the new headquarter of the General Administration of Criminal Evidence.
Al-Mutawa said that his ministry had carried out many projects for the Interior Ministry that are likely to bring about a quantum shift in the beneficiary sectors.
He said the design of the new headquarters as "good and dazzling." He noted the headquarters, which includes laboratories, needs special requirements that are to be carried out with help from the criminal evidence administration staff through stages of construction.
For his part, Assistant Undersecretary for Construction Projects Sector at the ministry Eng. Ghalib Shallash said they had implemented 18 projects for the Ministry of Interior in recent years.
The project will be set up on 25.000 square meters. (end) am.amh.nhq
