PKK kills two Turkish soldiers in Sirnak Province

ISTANBUL, June 9 (KUNA) -- Two Turkish soldiers were killed on Friday, in an attack launched by Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants on a Special Forces command base in the Province of Sirnak, southeast of Turkey, security source said.
According to Anadolu news agency, three more soldiers were injured and were transferred to hospital, while the Turkish security forces swept the area searching for the attackers.
The PKK has been launching attacks targeting Turkish civilians and security personnel in many parts of Turkey and north of Iraq, and the Turkish army respond by targeting their positions and track down their hideouts. (end) ta.mys
