PARIS, May 28 (KUNA) -- The French president's office announced Sunday the release of a French hostage kidnapped in Congo on March 1.
French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed the release and thanked Congo authorities for their role in setting the French hostage free today, the office said in a press statement.
France had announced that a French hostage was among a group of workers kidnapped from a gold mine operated by Canadian company Banro Mining Corp. (end)
