Saudi, Egyptian FMs reaffirm common views over regional conflicts

RIYADH, April 23 (KUNA) -- Saudi and Egyptian Foreign Ministers, Adel Al-Jubeir and Sameh Shukri respectively, said Sunday they shared common views regarding a host of regional issues like in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya.
Al-Jubeir, at a joint news conference with Shukri following their meeting in Riyadh, described their talks as "positive and fruitful," and that they also discussed economic, cultural, medical, educational and development cooperation.
They called for solving conflicts in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Libya, said Al-Jubeir who emphasized need of coordination between Riyadh and Cairo to achieve the best interest of the Arab and Muslim nations.
Relations between Saudi Arabia and Egypt are "deep, historic and strategic," he said.
Shukri said they agreed to meet on a regular basis, and that today's meeting reaffirmed the level of confidence between the two countries.
Saudi Arabia and Egypt should work hand-in-hand towards the Arab national security.
Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi arrived in Riyadh earlier today for talks with King Salman Bin Abdulaziz on regional and international issues. (pickup previous) od.bs
