ISTANBUL, March 23 (KUNA) -- A Turkish soldier was killed and four others injured in an attack by an armed Kurdish group in Hakkari province, southeast of Turkey, a military source said in statement Thursday.
The incident followed the killing of a Turkish soldier on Wednesday in Raihaniya town located in Hatay province south of the country, the source added.
The southeast region of Turkey, inhabited by a Kurdish majority, is witnessing frequent attacks by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) against the Turkish security and army forces. (end)
