2 strikes in Syria, 14 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, March 3 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces on Thursday conducted 16 strikes consisting of 78 engagements against the so-called Islamic State, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Friday.
In Syria, coalition forces conducted two strikes consisting of four engagements near Ar Raqqah and Palmyra, the announcement said.
In Iraq, the forces conducted 14 strikes consisting of 74 engagements near Al Qaim, Haditha, Mosul and Rawah, the statement said. (end) rm.mt
