14 strikes in Syria, 10 in Iraq target IS -- coalition

WASHINGTON, Feb 27 (KUNA) -- Coalition military forces on Sunday conducted 24 strikes consisting of 101 engagements against the so-called Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, the Combined Joint Task Force announced on Monday.
In Syria, coalition forces conducted 14 strikes consisting of 21 engagements near Ar Raqqah, Dayr Az Zawr and Palmyra, the announcement said.
In Iraq, coalition forces conducted 10 strikes consisting of 80 engagements near Kirkuk, Mosul, Rawah and Sinjar, the statement said. (end) rm.mt
