KRCS's involvement in national festivities
KUWAIT, Feb 26 (KUNA) - A Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) official on Sunday applauded volunteers for actively participating in Kuwait's ongoing national celebrations.
Speaking to KUNA, Director of KRCS's Youth Volunteerism Department Dr. Msaad Al-Enezi said that KRCS's involvement in national festivities underlines its firm belief that volunteerism and social development are often correlated.
Moreover, he said that KRCS has set up a pavilion where visitors are welcome to get the inside scoop on the society's latest activities and events.
BAl-Enezi also added that special memorabilia were handed out to passersby, noting that such events are instrumental in reinforcing volunteerism and other admirable qualities.
The KRCS official pointed out that volunteerism is a virtue that should be taught from a young age, adding that a recent decision to incorporate it into school curriculums is meritorious. (end)
