Kuwaiti charity opens trio of schools in Iraq's Ramadi
BAGHDAD, Feb 22 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti charity on Wednesday launched three schools in the central Iraqi city of Ramadi, about 110 kilometers west of the capital Baghdad.
The schools have been opened to close out a project that entailed the construction of 22 schools in the provinces of Anbar, Diyala and Saladin, in collaboration with Kuwait Relief Society, the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development said.
Moreover, Chairman of the Iraqi Medical Society Ahmad Al-Hayti told KUNA that the well-equipped schools comprise 16 classes, two administrative offices and a clinic.
He also applauded Kuwait for its support of Iraq's ailing education sector, as a string of schools funded by Kuwait's Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development have sprung up across the nation. (end) ahh.nam
