Indian police say two soldiers killed in clashes with armed men in Kashmir

NEW DELHI, Feb 12 (KUNA) -- Four armed men and two Indian army soldiers were killed in a fierce gun battle in Indian-controlled Kashmir, Indian police said Sunday.
Indo-Asia news service (INDO-ASIA) said that fighting began after police and soldiers cordoned off southern Frisal village overnight following a tip that militants were hiding in a civilian house.
Security forces raided the house, which resulted in killing four armed men and two soldiers during the attack.
New Delhi accuses Islamabad of financing and aiding armed groups in Kashmir, and Islamabad strongly denies the accusations, asserting Kashmiri are defending their rights and freedom. (end) atk.mb
