MUSCAT, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- Located 550 kilometers northwest of the capital Omani, Muscat, Musandam governorate's unique sites, environment, and fair weather continues to bedazzle visiting local and foreign tourists.
During the winter season, the Musandam governorate's touristic facilities and areas become flooded with visitors, especially from Europe, who specifically come to enjoy the various natural sites and visit various historical sites.
Speaking to KUNA, Mohammad bin Ali Al-Kharousi - head of a local tourist office in Oman - said that the governorate proximity to the Hormuz Strait and the Gulf waters made Musandam one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
The juxtaposition between the beautiful sea and high mountain tops made Musandam governorate a place both wonderful and memorizing, said Al-Kharousi. (end) har.gta
