KUWAIT, Feb 6 (KUNA) -- Visiting Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Martina Dalic highlighted on Monday the need to establish investment partnerships with Kuwait.
The Croatian official called for closer relations with Kuwait during a visit to Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), along with an accompanying economic delegation from the European nation.
On the visit, Dalic said that she was sanguine it would be instrumental in bringing both nations closer together, noting that the tourism, military and nutrition sectors provide ample opportunities for cooperation.
She also revealed plans to launch direct flights between Kuwait and Croatia in the near future.
Meanwhile, Deputy President of KCCI Abdulwahab Al-Wazan said that the visit by the Croatian officials will lead to tangible progress in economic ties between both countries.
Moreover, he said that relations with Croatia are unsatisfactory and require extra efforts for improvement.
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is on a three-day visit to Kuwait, where she held official talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. (end) fnk.nam
