KHARTOUM, Feb 5 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Sudan Bassam Al-Qabandi discussed with Speaker of Sudan's National Assembly Ahmad Omar on Sunday, strategies to ameliorate bilateral ties.
Speaking to KUNA, the Kuwaiti diplomat said that the talks centered on legislative cooperation, given the "vibrant democracies" of both nations.
Moreover, he underscored that parliamentary work is crucial for closer bilateral ties, saying that he was sanguine that relations between both nations will further develop.
Meanwhile, Sudan's Parliament Speaker lauded Kuwait's "exemplary" National Assembly, describing it as "one of the most robust legislative bodies in the Arab region." "We are thankful for Kuwait's support of Sudan in global, economic and social realms," Omar said, adding that his country is ready to do all that is required to serve the collective interests of both nations.
