KUWAIT, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- 1964 -- Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabad issued a new law on parliamentary investigation and administrative reform.
1970 -- Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issued a new law regulating postal services.
1981 -- A bill was introduced on elimination of illiteracy.
1991 -- The Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah affirmed during a meeting with US Secretary of State James Baker in Taif, Saudi Arabia, that there would be no alternative to using force against Iraqi forces occupying Kuwait if the Iraqi president refused to implement relevant UN resolutions.
2003 -- The Civil Service Commission declared establishing a common e-mail service for all civil servants.
2004 -- The Cabinet approved establishment of a media archive center to preserve the country's history.
2007 -- Kuwait's permanent representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Dr. Lamia Al-Saqqaf took over presidency of the organization's 77th round in Rome.
2008 -- US President George W. Bush arrived in Kuwait on an official two-day visit during which he held talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and visited American troops stationed at Camp Arifjan.
2015 -- Mubarak Al-Kabeer hospital opened an electronic pharmacy consisting of the latest gadgets distributing medicine. (end) gta
