Istanbul blasts' casualties rise to 38, 155 injured

ISTANBUL, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Istanbul's double bombings casualties earlier in the day jumped to 38 and injuries stood at 155.
The huge blasts occurred at around 10:20 p.m. local time, 90 minutes after a match between Besiktas and Bursaspor ended at the nearby ground. It was heard on both sides of the Bosphorus.
Turkish government spokesperson Numan Kurtulmus said that the outlawed Kurdistan Workersآ’ Party (PKK) militants were believed to be responsible for the attack.
Kurtulmus added authorities have determined that about 300-400 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.(end).
