New ministers, MPs take oath

KUWAIT, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- New members of the National Assembly and the reshuffled Cabinet took the oath on Sunday during the first regular session of the 15th legislative term of the National Assembly.
The oath-taking legislators and government members will thus start fulfilling their tasks and duties, in line with the National Constitution's article 9.
The said the article states, "Before assuming his duties in the Assembly or in its committees, a member of the National Assembly shall take the following oath before the Assembly in a public sitting.
"I swear by Almighty God to be faithful to the Country and to the Amir, to respect the Constitution and the laws of the State, to defend the liberties, interest, and properties of the people, and to discharge my duties honestly and truthfully.'".(end) hrz.haq
