The session comes after the historic visit by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah last October 11 and the invitation of Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah to boost economic, trade and investment ties, Al-Dhafeeri said in a statement.
The Kuwaiti delegation participating at the committee's work includes representatives of a number of ministries and agencies including Ministry of Finance, Foreign Ministry, Trade and Industry, Oil, Higher Education, Information, Tourism and Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion, Central Agency in addition to Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kuwait Oil Company.
The committee aims to promote investment, trade and financial cooperation through activating the joint areas of investment and encourage partnership in the private sector as well as exchanging trade delegations and participation in exhibitions, seminars and forums and explore investment opportunities between the two countries, he added.
The participation of the Ministry of Oil comes to discuss the possibilities of cooperation in the field of exploration, production and investment inside and outside Brunei.
