Abu Dhabi Crown Prince meets French Pres.

ABU DHABI, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, held talks Friday with visiting French President Francois Hollande on bilateral cultural cooperation.
Sheikh Mohammad, also Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Hollande, also discussed projects and initiatives aimed at preserving cultural heritage, as well as spreading awareness over importance of protecting antinquities in conflict zones, official WAM news agency reported.
Hollande is visiting Abu Dhabi to attend a two-day international conference of the Safeguarding of Endangered Cultural Heritage.
Sheikh Mohammad and the French President underlined importance of the conference in safeguarding culture of humans.
They also talked about regional and international developments.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France announced last month an international initiative for a UNESCO-sponsored global partnership to protecting cultural heritage in conflict zones. (end) bsu.bs
