Al-Asousi made his remarks to KUNA on the sidelines of the Putrajaya International Islamic Arts and Culture Festival (PIIACUF) 2016 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, where he heads the participating Kuwait delegation at the festival.
Kuwait is keen on participating in international cultural events, he affirmed, adding that the GCC country aims, through this event, at highlighting its cultural role and displaying the ministry's publications to the public, including Islamic calligraphy and paintings.
The ministry has previously taken part in several similar events in a number of European, Arab, and Muslim countries, the Kuwaiti official said, adding that those participations were met with high interactions and praises by the visitors.
For his part, Kuwait's Ambassador Saad Al-Asousi expressed his joy of the Kuwaiti participation in the international event, indicating that this is the second Kuwaiti participation in PIIACUF, which reflects the country's keenness in highlighting its Islamic arts, heritage, handcrafts, and fashion on regional and international levels.
