KUWAIT, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Court of Cassation Monday ruled the disqualification of 21 parliamentary candidates, who were ruled out by the Ministry of Interior (MoI) earlier.
The court, examining government appeals over previous rulings that allowed the candidates to run in November 26 elections, decided to disqualify the hopefuls.
A committee formed by the MoI to examine legal status of candidates, has decided to rule out a number of candidates who decided to a court ruling to enable them compete in elections.
Today's ruling closed the legal argument. (end)
