Info. Min. meets IPI officials

KUWAIT, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah met Monday with officials of the International Peace Institute (IPI).
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the Information Ministry and New York-based IPI, the ministry said in a press release.
They also exchanged views on ways of promoting the principles of world peace and security amid the current extraordinary security circumstances in the Middle East region, it added.
The IPI officials appreciated Kuwait's humanitarian assistance to many world countries, and hailed the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir as "Humanitarian Leader" and the State of Kuwait as "Humanitarian Center", according to the release. (end) mdm.mt
