Kuwaiti director pleased with 2nd award at Gulf festival

By Bader Al-Slaiheem ABU DHABI, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Director Ali Hassan on Friday voiced happiness after his work "We Die to Live Kuwait" ranked second in the long documentary movies category at the Third Gulf Festival, which concluded in Abu Dhabi Thursday.
Hassan, who is also Executive Producer of the documentary, expressed "double pleasure" over the award, especially that the movie was a production of Kuwait TV.
He lauded the unlimited support offered by Kuwait's Minister of Information and Minister of State of Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.
The movie depicts the patriotic epic battle by renowned Kuwaiti female martyr Asrar Al-Gabandi during the Iraqi invasion of 1990. (end) bs.hs
